Rosie Jewell

Visual designer, writer, and artist helping people see a sustainable, beautiful future.

Hi, I’m Rosie, or RJ. I live in Los Angeles but grew up in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park in the UK.

I offer a range of design and communications services for clients in cleantech, sustainability, and development — helping you tell your story with a coherent voice and vision.

  • My specialty is world-building. I love the process of partnering with my clients to design comprehensive brand identities - teasing out the distinctive feel; finding cohesion between vision and voice; creating a home that inspires trust and shared vision.

  • I bring an editor’s eye to everything I design, finding structure and clarity in the narrative before bringing it to life with polish and flair.

  • I specialize in taking complicated, technical, longwinded, fluffy, or otherwise unruly writing and turning it into engaging prose with equal parts substance and flair.

  • I’m an accomplished artist and illustrator in a range of physical and digital media. I love searching for the aesthetic that resonates most deeply with your work and your community.

  • Good video marries visual and verbal storytelling, rhythm and color, information and entertainment - it’s a delicious challenge. I handle end-to-end video production, from script and storyboard to final touches.

  • I co-create experiences that connect and inspire, leading from initial brand development through to wayfinding and stage/scenic graphics as well as video, marketing, app design support and photography direction.

  • Being able to see and understand data from all angles is key to effective work. But all too often, data visualizations makes viewers work too hard and renders data inaccessible. I help sort through the mess to find a clear, step-by-step story.
